Le Jardin Hospitalier
The project transforms a dark 100-metre-long corridor which symbolically connects an old and new wing of the hospital. It is an installation with art works by Jyll Bradley that gave a functional corridor a sense of space. Although the foreground is very much the artwork, essential elements such as handrails, signage, information display have been integrated into this installation. The artwork evolved through the engagement with the botanical gardeners of Lille and research into the city’s largely unrecognised history of botanical medicine.
