Tretorn Micro X
The packaging of Micro X was to reflect the new benchmark set by Tretorn and is to set itself apart from other non-pressurized balls, generally packed in cartons. Tretorn – an old Swedish industrial standard meaning three towers, was the starting point. The canister was given a proprietary triangular shape to identify it as a Tretorn product with the product name boldly stamped on each of the three faces. The product was launched in 1999 and has been in production ever since. Micro X has since become the official ball of the German & Austrian Tennis Federation and won Critique Magazines Packaging and Identity Award.
