PMS – Pantone Matching System has long been the standard for colour specification and reference for the industry.
With a keen interest in the trends and shifts within the world of colour, Pantone also offers colour forecasting as well as custom colour services for corporate clients. Pantone’s responsiveness to trends and shifts unfortunately, contributed to the inconsistent communication of the brand, undermining its authority on colour and presenting the company to suit the current fashion. The project’s goal was to re-instate Pantone’s authority on colour and emphasis the longevity of its products. Lifestyle imageries on the PMS books were replaced with archival linen carrying clear graphics. Colour coding became an integral part in the classification of the product range. PMS re-affirms its role as essential tools for specifiers and designers.
